Role: Stage Manager / Tech Designer
For my debut Drama Club production, I worked closely with our technical director, Mrs Wishart, to support the overall technical design of the show, including both sound and lighting. The production provided an excellent introduction to the practical and organisational side of theatre technology, giving me experience with creating and working from lighting plots, cue lists, and technical plans.
The cast consisted of pupils from S1–S3, and throughout rehearsals and performances I helped guide the technical process, assisting with the execution of connected cues and supporting the team wherever needed. It was a valuable opportunity to develop my understanding of backstage coordination and the role technical planning plays in bringing a production together.
