Hi, I’m Callan Chesser, a 15-year-old student technician who’s been lucky enough to work on over 25 productions so far—from pantomimes and drama club shows to school talent shows and summer camps. I love everything about theatre, whether it’s lighting, sound, projections, stage management, or just helping backstage wherever I’m needed. I’ve spent the last few years directing and managing TGA’s charity shows, running crews of up to 35 people, designing and calling shows, and making sure every performance goes smoothly.
Some of my favourite experiences include running live sound and mic plots for big casts, designing lighting for fashion and talent shows, helping out with shows in professional venues, and even transferring whole productions from StagePlayer to QLab when things go wrong! Outside theatre, I’m a competitive national swimmer, so I know a thing or two about teamwork, focus, and keeping calm under pressure. I just love being part of productions that make performers shine and audiences enjoy every moment.
